Flying and Falling: Intro to Airsteps Workshop
Join our instructor-in-residence Yana Sanamyantz from Moscow as she sends us flying with this introduction to airsteps workshop.
When it comes to airsteps, there are two roles: a flyer and a rock. The rock is stable and strong, someone who can carry a flyer if necessary. The flyer is not afraid to jump or to give all their weight to the rock. For this reason, students must sign-up in for this workshop in pairs: one person for each role.
Some important notes:
- Partner required. Everyone needs a buddy they can work with the whole class.
- What to wear: athletic clothing that you can comfortably move in, soft shoes with thick soles (sketchers, kids, etc)
This is the last in a series of Saturday workshops Yana is offering during her residency, so it’s your final chance to dance with her!
